Faculty Focus Groups
Introduction
Focus Groups are made up of faculty that have volunteered their time and expertise to lead efforts in selecting tools and technologies that may enhance teaching and learning.
Focus & Goal
The purpose of this faculty focus group is to act as a key element in the evaluation of systems for standardization at CPCC.
Once Instructional Technology Innovations has received a group of individuals post invitation, a meeting date will be set to discuss faculty needs. All suggestions, comments, and ideas are welcome.
Upon meeting with faculty, a variety of products will be brought in and live demonstrations made. Based on faculty feedback a system will be selected and a pilot group formed for final evaluation in live environments.
Expectations
Members should be willing to participate by either using one or more system live in class, or by providing feedback based on personal evaluation from the Teaching Commons.
Instructors who are willing to test multiple products in class will be greatly appreciated as this will provide the best data possible. In any case, Technology Innovations & Learning Enhancement Services will be available to assist with any questions or concerns as facilitators to the group.
